Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive cost, schedule, baseline, and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Project Controls services on assigned SRNS Project Teams.
  • Execute process responsibilities associated with organization, development, analysis, implementation, and maintenance of program/project controls applications and measures necessary for decision-making and monitoring of planning, scheduling, cost engineering, and trend engineering established objectives.
  • Prepare schedules and performance monitoring status and management reports identifying variances in work execution strategy, provide timely feedback, and recommend solutions to management to improve or mitigate problems affecting cost, schedule, or estimating issues throughout the life cycle of a project, program, or other work activity.
  • Provide Project Controls services using SRNS processes and procedures with programmatic guidance provided by SRNS.
  • Walk down and interface with personnel and systems in the field when required.

Requirements

  • Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain a DOE Q security clearance if required.
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing (marijuana use is prohibited under Federal Law).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “L” security clearance.

Qualifications

One of the following education and experience combinations:

  • Master's degree in business, construction management, technical, or engineering, or a related area and five years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, technical, or engineering, or a related area and seven years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control.
  • Associate's degree in business, construction management, technical, or engineering, or a related area and eleven years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control.
  • High school diploma and fifteen years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control.

Skills

  • Proficient ability and knowledge in the development of cost and schedule baselines, milestone schedules, work breakdown structures, and spend-out plans to establish optimum conditions and effective utilization of resources and facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of DOE 413 and Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software and cost processing software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Strong problem-solving, analysis, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to use Acumen Fuse, PeopleSoft, and Oracle's OBIEE.
  • Advanced proficiency in cost processing software.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM.

Location

Onsite at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions in Aiken, SC. Local candidates or those willing to relocate at their own expense.
