About the role

Rapid and Rural Logistics seeks a Senior Program Manager with a strong track record in delivering projects and extensive experience in project management to lead strategic, cross-functional operations and technology initiatives for our faster-than-Same Day delivery services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of fulfillment operations, including under-the-roof processes, inventory flows, constrained fulfillment capacity and labor, quality, and long-term roadmaps. They will be responsible for developing new innovations and playing a crucial role in the expansion of the sub-same day program.

Responsibilities

  • Drive innovation that enhances under-the-roof processes and continually reduces costs in our fulfillment and delivery network.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to plan, organize, execute, and standardize complex projects aimed at achieving 2025+ variable cost and quality goals.
  • Analyze and gather data across fulfillment and delivery functions to establish global standards for operations and other cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and solve operational barriers by understanding root causes and fostering opportunities for improvement.
  • Leverage analytics to support the future state of the business.
  • Communicate data insights to senior management effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of program/project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field
  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

  • Strategic thinking and methodical execution
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, able to use hard data and metrics to support assumptions and develop business cases
