Sr. Program Manager, Operations Planning Team (OPT)
Key job responsibilities
- OP1/OP2 Planning Collaboration: Collaborate with the OP Lead on operational planning processes and build planning standard work with consolidated templates
- Partner with PMO, Finance, and functional teams to ensure data integrity, provide monthly (often weekly) updates to leadership on planning activities, establish validation checkpoints, and align resource planning with business objectives
- Process Standardization & Continuous Improvement: Establish escalation paths; drive continuous improvement initiatives; and reduce reliance on manual workarounds and shadow planning tools
A day in the life
In this role, you will partner with Project Management Office (PMO), Finance, and business leadership to ensure GEMS can deliver on our commitments. Your day typically begins with reviewing key metrics and preparing for strategic planning meetings, where you'll lead discussions on resource allocation and operational priorities. Throughout the day, you'll analyze data in Excel and BI tools to identify optimization opportunities, collaborate with Finance on resource planning, and engage with senior stakeholders to drive alignment on critical projects. You'll spend time coordinating with the PMO and GEIST teams to streamline processes, while maintaining real-time tracking of various program milestones. The role requires agile prioritization as you respond to leadership requests, facilitate cross-functional working sessions, and ensure strategic planning cycles stay on track.
About the team
The Operations Planning Team (OPT) is a team designed to enhance synergy and operational efficiency across the diverse Ops GEMS organization. The team will drive operational excellence and strategic alignment, through planning, business operations, cross-functional collaboration.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Salary Range
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
