About the role
The Sr. Program Manager for Integrated Delivery reports within the AbbVie Patient Services Organization. This role supports the AbbVie Patient Services PACT Care Model program launches and optimization initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end project delivery by creating and managing project plans and timelines, holding cross-functional teams accountable, and driving stakeholder communication
- Facilitate regular project or PACT meetings and reviews, inclusive of PACT priorities; reporting status to leadership and stakeholders
- Drive action plans to address issues and risks, maintain accurate documentation, and lead project closeout
- Understand AbbVie Patient Services strategic priorities and lead PACT to design and develop executional plans
- Promote accountability and depth of planning among programs and PACTs and operational execution members
- Elevate strategic areas of decision making and alignment, as well as any executional risk to the ASP SLT
- Manage the program management methodology process, lead programs, and direct others on program teams to complete activities on-time, on budget, while delivering the value expected
- Anticipate when a program or project will be off-track and guide teams through corrective action to regain alignment with program or project goals
- Drive executional and operational excellence by leading program management across integrated, matrixed teams
- Lead and guide the program teams to develop wholistic project plans supporting teams from program discovery through optimization
- Create integrated program roadmaps that identify dependencies and manage constraints
- Anticipate when a program or project will be off-track and guide teams through corrective action to regain alignment with program or project goals
- Manage the program management methodology process, lead programs, and direct others on program teams to complete activities on-time, on budget, while delivering the value expected
- Create robust, integrated project plans including identifying dependencies and elevating issues and risks
- Manage programs through a defined work approach, manage dependencies across programs and create, maintain, and improve a decision framework
- Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance the governance framework
- Lead and be accountable for the performance of the launch team in delivery of Patient Services business programs
- Assure program teams are leveraging the established APS processes and guidelines defined by SIPG team
- Assure program teams can track, and report established quality KPIs and adhere to program health checks defined by SIPG Team
- Drive executional excellence by leading program management, proactively managing meeting agendas, escalating risks, and monitoring team effectiveness / progress
- Identify opportunities to enhance business objectives related to the TBU and PACT and leads teams to decisions through strong business acumen and critical thinking
- Anticipate future program and project activities, ensuring people and financial resources are appropriately aligned
- Lead operational annual planning activities at the PACT level; sets expectations & influence decisions to maintain good partnerships
- Partner with TBU / Franchise Director to define and lead the operational PACT annual brand planning and launch planning processes
- Prioritize PACT activities in alignment with annual AbbVie Patient Services goals and objectives
- Support and sometimes lead adoption readiness, enterprise integration, transition planning, and vendor management initiatives internal to Integrated Delivery and the roll-up to Design & Delivery
- Lead initiatives that drive APS organizational strategy and priorities
- Contribute to and lead continuous improvement processes by giving feedback on policies, tools, processes, and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and relevant experience
- MBA, Project Management Professional certification and work experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
- Senior PM: 5-7+ years of program management and program governance experience
- Strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, program management capabilities, financial management capabilities and an in-depth understanding of the patient services and pharmaceutical business
- Human relations and administrative skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, co-leaders and leadership in Commercial, Business Technology Services, Legal, Office of Ethics and Compliance, Manufacturing Operations, Global Medical Affairs, Promotions, Brand teams, and Global Patient Services
- Conflict resolution skills including persuasive management techniques required
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills required
- Proven ability to drive outstanding team performance and engagement motivating, energizing and inspiring team members
