Sr. Production Quality Engineer

About the role

Supermicro is seeking an experienced Sr. Production Quality Engineer to serve as the Component technology enabler for the company. This role involves working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure the robustness of Component solutions in Supermicro's systems. The ideal candidate will partner with Component vendors and collaboratively drive the technology enabling process.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, review, and control of key components (Memory, Storage, CPU, GPU) quality/reliability at customer side
• Manage quality control procedures to improve company’s product quality
• Support and coordinate with LAB and other engineering teams to improve screen-ability of key components errors
• Take ownership, provide feedback, and take initiative to drive improvements in supplier quality management
• Recommend changes or other actions as appropriate for key components quality control
• Work with cross-functional teams to set quality standards for new products or customers
• Investigate and address quality concerns raised by customers, providing constructive suggestions to the customer support team
• Show in-depth knowledge of maintaining product quality from sourcing to shipment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams in a corporate environment, with solid product promotion experiences in hardware components preferred
• Prior technical marketing experiences in ODM/OEM projects preferred
• Ability to engage with both vendors and clients, creating business opportunities through ecosystem partnerships
• Strong analytical, marketing, and project management skills, with a drive for results and successful project execution
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and strong presentation abilities
• Technical hands-on experience with key components (Memory, Storage, CPU, GPU) qualification or application engineering experience
• In-depth understanding of server and key components, with knowledge of their market
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess a high level of integrity
• Team player capable of working effectively in collaborative situations

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $138,000, with the final offer dependent on various factors including location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in the role. A comprehensive benefits package is included, along with potential participation in bonus and equity award programs.
