Sr. Product Services Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Sr. Product Services Engineer to join our Product Services Engineering team. This is a 6+ month contract role based in Minneapolis, MN or West Palm Beach, FL. The role supports internal and external energy software platforms through root cause analysis, technical troubleshooting, issue resolution, and customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer issues, identify root causes, and provide timely resolutions.
• Understand user behavior and usage patterns to reduce support needs.
• Identify product enhancements and help prioritize bug fixes.
• Troubleshoot application issues using logs, data, and monitoring tools.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Software Engineering, Data Science, Customer Success, and Business) to resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide customer-focused communication and technical guidance.
• Influence the product roadmap based on customer feedback and recurring issues.

Requirements

• Experience with Unix/Linux command line and SQL.
• Familiarity with Grafana, CloudWatch, or similar monitoring/observability tools.
• Experience identifying model inputs/outputs and debugging software issues.
• Ability to set up a local development environment for troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with AWS S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Fundamental knowledge of renewable energy and energy storage systems.
• Strong root cause analysis, problem-solving, customer communication, and collaboration skills.
