Key job responsibilities
- Drive the vision, roadmap, and new feature requirements that power Prime Video Ads supply side tech.
- Think big to paint clear and impactful vision and align with engineering, business, and other stakeholders on priority and crawl/walk/run phases.
- Work across multiple internal orgs and teams as well as external vendors and industry bodies to be industry aware/influencing, but customer focused.
- Align your teams to take SMART goals that will establish and maintain Prime Video as the best ad-supported streaming service for viewers and advertisers.
- Write compelling and crisp PRFAQs, narratives, BRDs, and vision docs and convince your stakeholders with data and anecdotes.
- Enjoy deep dives and earn trust with your engineering counterparts, but always see the forest through the trees.
About the team
We focus on unlocking new supply & demand and crafting the most potent and privacy-safe bid requests, impressions, and currency integrations – in terms of trust/value/impact for customers (relevancy of ads etc.), advertisers and content partners. We own Prime Video’s core advertising technologies (e.g., ad stitching and insertion, integrations with ad-servers, new supply onboarding & automation, ad/audience/currency measurement, targeting signals and relevancy inputs, customer and advertiser Trust and policy products, as well as impression loss analytics and monitoring).
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
- Strong domain expertise in video advertising technologies, programmatic ecosystem technologies and related standards (e.g., VAST/VMAP/oRTB/Open Measurement)
- Broad strategic view of ad-tech trends as well ad deep understanding of how the various aspects of the ad-tech ecosystem work together (ad-servers, SSPs, DSPs, Exchanges, DMPs, measurement vendors etc.)
