Sr. Product Manager Technical, Deal Tooling & Insights, Strategic Customer Engagements
About the role
At AWS, the Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) team drives cloud adoption and business growth through innovative pricing strategies. The organization comprises two specialized teams: Strategic Customer Engagements, which guide transformative deals with industry leaders, and Private Pricing Programs & Experiences, which scales and optimizes pricing solutions across our diverse customer base.
Within GDSP, you will develop deep expertise in cloud economics, hone your strategic thinking, and directly impact AWS's market leadership while working with new technologies and global clients. You will own the development of new features and functionality within our broader platform, working closely with stakeholders to prioritize features and capabilities that scale our ability to execute transformative deals through automation and AI-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own the entire lifecycle of new product feature development, from initial concept through launch and beyond, ensuring continuous improvement through data-driven iteration and stakeholder feedback.
- Leverage product management expertise and technical skills to understand complex business requirements, design innovative solutions, and develop generative AI-powered features that deliver measurable business impact.
- Propose and own the development of new features within our broader platform, prioritizing capabilities that scale transformative deal execution through automation and AI-driven solutions.
- Lead the technical development of new product features, including hands-on contribution to development efforts, particularly in areas involving generative AI implementation and integration.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to define success metrics, measure product performance, and quantify the business impact of new features and capabilities.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling communications for senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
- 3+ years of hands-on technical experience in software development, data science, or related technical field
- Experience in the application of GenAI technologies to drive operational efficiencies and speed to insights
Pay
Compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Base salary ranges include:
- San Francisco, CA: $173,900 – $235,200 USD annually
- Atlanta, GA: $151,200 – $204,600 USD annually
- Chicago, IL: $151,200 – $204,600 USD annually
- Boston, MA: $151,200 – $204,600 USD annually
- New York, NY: $166,300 – $225,000 USD annually
- Austin, TX: $151,200 – $204,600 USD annually
- Dallas, TX: $151,200 – $204,600 USD annually
- Arlington, VA: $151,200 – $204,600 USD annually
- Herndon, VA: $151,200 – $204,600 USD annually
- Seattle, WA: $151,200 – $204,600 USD annually
