  • Build compelling business cases for custom and semi-custom rPDU platforms that balance customer requirements, scalability, and profitability.
  • Engage directly with hyperscale and OEM customers to understand rack power requirements including design, form factor, integration, and deployment constraints.
  • As the voice of the customer to product management and engineering—translate real-world requirements into clear product definitions, roadmap inputs, and platform strategies.
  • Partner with adjacent Vertiv product lines to develop comprehensive solution strategies that reinforce Vertiv's position as the preferred end-to-end data center provider.
  • Shape rPDU architectures and feature sets that enable customer-specific solutions while maintaining manufacturing efficiency and speed to market.
  • Partner with Global Strategic Accounts, OEM sales teams, and regional sales leadership to develop account-specific rPDU strategies and pursue large-scale programs.
  • Support complex customer engagements by positioning Vertiv’s rPDU capabilities as a strategic enabler—not a commodity—within broader infrastructure solutions.
  • Enable sales teams with clear messaging on rPDU differentiation, hyperscale-ready capabilities, and value propositions tied to customer outcomes.
  • Maintain deep expertise in the hyperscale and OEM rack power landscape, including competitive offerings, sourcing models, customer design philosophies, and emerging requirements.
  • Analyze wins, losses, and customer feedback to continuously refine rPDU platforms, features, and commercial approaches.
  • Monitor trends related to AI, high-density computing, and global deployment models as they impact rPDU design and demand.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
    • 7+ years of experience in product management, business development, or technical sales within data center infrastructure, with direct exposure to rack level power distribution or integrated IT systems.
    • Demonstrated experience working with hyperscale and/or OEM customers on complex, programmatic business.
    • Strong ability to translate customer requirements into product strategy and executable roadmaps.
    • Proven track record of cross-functional leadership across engineering, manufacturing, and sales.
    • Executive-level communication skills, with confidence engaging technical stakeholders and senior customer leadership.
    • PREFERRED: Hands-on experience with rack PDU platforms, custom/semi-custom design, or large-scale rPDU programs.
    • Familiarity with hyperscale sourcing models, AVL/RVL processes, and long-term supply agreements.
    • Experience supporting AI/HPC and high-density rPDU architectures.
    • Experience in using and/or deploying IT monitoring and management protocols such as Redfish, SNMP, and JSON APIs.
    • MBA or advanced technical degree.
