Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager Property & Casualty Insurance to lead the development, enhancement, and delivery of insurance products and digital solutions that support underwriting, policy administration, claims, and customer experience initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong domain expertise in P&C insurance, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record of driving product strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Property & Casualty insurance products and platforms.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from underwriting, claims, policy administration, billing, and customer service stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, QA, and business teams throughout the Agile development lifecycle.
  • Drive enhancements across P&C insurance systems, including:
    • Policy Administration
    • Underwriting
    • Care Claims Management
    • Billing & Payments
    • Agent/Broker Portals
    • Customer Self-Service Platforms
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback assessments to identify opportunities for product innovation.
  • Prioritize product backlog based on business value, customer impact, compliance requirements, and technical feasibility.
  • Monitor product performance through KPIs, customer metrics, and operational analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with state insurance regulations and industry standards.
  • Support UAT, production releases, change management, and post-implementation activities.
  • Collaborate with actuarial, compliance, legal, and operations teams to deliver regulatory and product filing changes.
  • Present product updates, business cases, and roadmap recommendations to executive stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Insurance, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of Product Management, Business Analysis, or Product Ownership experience.
  • 5+ years of experience within the Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
  • Strong understanding of: Commercial Lines or Personal Lines Insurance, Policy Lifecycle Management, Underwriting Processes, Claims Operations, Insurance Rating and Pricing Concepts, Regulatory Compliance Requirements.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Proven ability to manage product roadmaps and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Guidewire products such as: Guidewire PolicyCenter, Guidewire ClaimCenter, Guidewire BillingCenter.
  • Experience with insurance digital transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of API integrations, cloud technologies, and data analytics platforms.
  • Professional certifications such as: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter).
  • Experience with commercial insurance products, specialty lines, or insurtech platforms.
