About The Role

This role owns one of the most important consumer experiences at Uber Eats: the moments between placing an order and receiving it. Millions of customers return to Uber Eats after checkout, trusting us to keep them informed, anticipate their needs, and give them confidence that everything is on track. As the Product Manager for Delivery Experience, you'll define the future of the post-order customer journey. You'll create intelligent, customer-first experiences that make waiting feel transparent, effortless, and trustworthy reimagining how customers experience delivery through AI, real-time intelligence, and thoughtful product innovation. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape one of Uber Eats' most engaged product experiences. You'll partner closely with Design, Engineering, Data Science, and Product to bring bold new ideas from concept to launch, creating products that millions of customers rely on every day.

What The Candidate Will Do

  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for one of Uber Eats' most important consumer experiences.
  • Reimagine how customers experience the moments after checkout, creating products that build confidence, reduce uncertainty, and make waiting feel effortless.
  • Invent new ways to help customers feel informed, reassured, and in control throughout their delivery journey.
  • Shape the future of delivery through AI-powered and real-time customer experiences that anticipate needs before customers have to ask.
  • Bring new ideas from concept through launch, partnering closely with Design, Engineering, Data Science, and Research.
  • Use customer insights, experimentation, and product intuition to continuously improve one of Uber Eats' highest engagement experiences.
  • Influence product direction across teams and help define the future of the post-order experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience, preferably in consumer technology, marketplace, logistics, fulfillment, or operationally complex products.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience defining product strategy and driving execution across multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, including comfort with metric design, experimentation, funnel analysis, and root-cause diagnosis.
  • Proven ability to turn ambiguous, multi-sided problems into clear product priorities and roadmaps.
  • Experience working with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders and align teams around a strategy.
  • Track record of shipping products or systems that improved customer experience, reliability, quality, or operational performance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on marketplace quality, logistics, delivery, routing, dispatch, ETA, ranking, trust, support, or fulfillment systems.
  • Experience with prediction or risk-scoring systems that trigger product interventions.
  • Familiarity with consumer defect reduction, customer support reduction, NPS improvement, retention, or trust-building initiatives.
  • Experience managing tradeoffs between growth, quality, cost, fairness, and user experience.
  • Strong systems-thinking orientation, with the ability to reason across consumer, merchant, courier, and marketplace incentives.
  • Experience building products that use real-time signals, operational data, or machine-learning models to improve user outcomes.
  • Comfort operating in highly ambiguous spaces where ownership is distributed and success requires strong cross-functional leadership.
  • Prior experience in food delivery, grocery, e-commerce, mobility, logistics, or local commerce.

Pay

  • New York City, NY-based roles: USD $190,000 - $211,000 per year
  • San Francisco, CA-based roles: USD $190,000 - $211,000 per year
  • Seattle, WA-based roles: USD $190,000 - $211,000 per year
  • Eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, equity award, and other types of compensation
  • All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan and various benefits

Schedule

  • Unless approved for full remote work, employees must spend at least 50% of their time in-office
  • Some roles require full-time in-office presence
