Sr. Product Manager

About the role

Instaclustr is looking for an Product Manager – AI Market Segment to join our dynamic Product Management team as we expand our open-source-as-a-service platform for agentic AI.

Responsibilities

• Understanding the problem space in the AI market segment through market awareness, customer discovery and experimentation.
• Developing and maintaining a segment vision, crafting and evangelizing compelling narratives (“working backwards” stories), that align and inspire product, engineering, GTM and execs around a compelling value proposition for the target segment.
• Serving as a credible expert in the AI market segment to support and drive GTM efforts including crafting compelling narratives to drive sales plays, sales conversations with high-value opportunities through to conference presentations.
• Serving as an escalation and resolution point for critical priority calls within the AI market segment, whether that is individual strategic customer issues or broader prioritization calls.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in product management experience, including experience with developer and focused products.
• Strong understanding of AI-related customer objectives and problems, market trends and key concepts.
• Excellent capability to facilitate and manage planning in demanding stakeholder environments.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong business acumen.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates should ideally have understanding and experience with open source products such as those offered by Instaclustr (Apache Cassandra, Apache Kafka, OpenSearch, Cadence, ClickHouse and PostgreSQL).
• A technical understanding of key cloud architecture concepts.
