Sr. Product Manager
About the role
The Product Manager supports the development of a strategic plan and the execution of a comprehensive portfolio roadmap for assigned category offerings. Works in close cooperation with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and R&D teams to maximize sales and profitability under the supervision of Product Management Leadership.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of a long-term product roadmap with a strong focus on New Product Development, developing competitive advantages, and alignment with a broad portfolio strategy.
- Full lifecycle management of the portfolio and all products offered in the category.
- Work closely with customers, product managers, stakeholders, and executives to define product vision, business goals, customer, and end-user needs.
- Gather and analyze customer insights via Voice of the Customer (VOC), Market Research, economic, and technology trends to develop better materials and more accurate business cases.
- Evangelize and drive the creation of novel materials and innovative configurations across the organization.
- Gather competitive intelligence to inform Sales, Marketing, and R&D strategies.
- Collaborate with global and regional product managers, stakeholders, and development teams to prioritize investments, product requirements, and portfolio needs.
- Ensure consistency across product lines and shared problem-solving for interdependent projects.
- Own product financials and performance to drive revenue and margin growth while mitigating risk.
- Lead and execute commercialization strategies across multiple market channels.
- Anticipate internal and external business challenges or opportunities; recommend improvements.
- Solve unique and complex problems with broad business impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Polymer Sciences, Materials Science, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in a hands-on technical or engineering-related role.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in product management, technical sales, or product marketing.
- Strong communication skills and a sense of personal and professional accountability.
- Experience with requirements gathering and prioritization.
- Experience interacting with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Up to 25% travel, international and domestic.
