Sr. Process Quality Engineer - Manufacturing - Goleta, CA
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
- 5+ years of experience in process or manufacturing or quality engineering, preferably in aerospace or defense
- Proficiency with statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP, Python, etc.) and quality methodologies (Six‑Sigma, Lean, FMEA, SPC)
- Strong problem‑solving ability and experience leading root‑cause investigations
- Familiarity with aerospace standards and documentation requirements
Job Description
You will be the Sr. Process Quality Engineer – Manufacturing for the Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) – Santa Barbara Focalplane Team. Our team is responsible for driving the highest standards of product quality across all manufacturing processes.
What You Will Be Doing
Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Develop & Execute Quality Plans – Create comprehensive quality control plans, inspection criteria, and test methods for new and existing products.
- Process Audits & Inspections – Perform internal audits, line walkthroughs, and real‑time inspections to verify conformance to specifications and standards.
- Data Analysis & Trending – Collect, analyze, and visualize quality data to uncover trends and prioritize improvement opportunities.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Partner with design engineers, manufacturing supervisors, test teams, and program managers to resolve non‑conformances.
- Continuous Improvement Leadership – Lead root‑cause investigations, develop corrective actions, and track effectiveness through metrics such as PFMEA and SPC.
