Role Specific Responsibilities
- Maintains compliance with routine operations through statistical process control.
- Prepares technical reports with recommendations for modifications.
- Supports and leads PHAs for new product introductions and existing product revalidations.
- Develops and scales up new products under R&D supervision.
- Ledges projects focused on new product introductions or technology transfers.
- Specifies new and existing process equipment, safety devices, and utilities.
- Applies structured problem-solving techniques to optimize equipment utilization and reduce costs.
- Reviews and develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Analyzes and reports data related to production capabilities and plant operations.
- Maintains PSM required documentation such as P&IDs and PFDs.
Problem Solving and Innovation
- Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
- Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly.
- Works safely and responsibly at all times.
Education and Qualifications
- Active participation in continuous improvement activities.
- Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development.
- Trains, mentors, and assesses other team members.
- Exercises autonomy and judgement within overall direction or guidance.
Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Experience with Distributed Control Systems and Honeywell preferred.
- LEAN Six-Sigma Green Belt preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing business needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge in methodologies and tools including PHA/HAZOP, risk ranking, LOPA, relief system design, root cause analysis, mechanical integrity, management of change, pre-startup safety review, and additional process safety management requirements and methods.
- Employs critical thinking skills and analytical abilities.
- Flexibility to work in both office and operating plant environments.
