Sr. Principle Associate – Global Health, Safety and Environment
About the role
The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor is responsible for managing global HSE programs, emergency response, and overseeing compliance, productivity, and sustainability. This role also involves project management and coordination for the corporate Incident Support Team (IST).
Responsibilities
- Manage Global HSE Management Systems processes, metrics, and standards.
- Serve as administrator for the Notification to Management (NTM) process.
- Lead the HSE Standards Change Control Board (CCB) and ensure proper governance of Global HSE Standards.
- Implement, develop, and administer enterprise IT solutions including Sphera, Intelex, and other global systems.
- Develop, sustain, and validate Business Intelligence (BI) tools to share HSE information across the enterprise.
- Support IT BI validation plans and develop validation documents for identified BIs.
- Transition BIs from unvalidated to validated sites.
- Support creation of new BIs as requested and needed within Global HSE.
- Provide support on IT tool implementations for other global systems (e.g., Veeva, Cority, Sphera, Intelex) representing HSE interests in the development and delivery of the tools.
- Lead and manage project implementation for global HSE initiatives and enterprise-wide systems.
- Execute periodic review of IST procedures and transition IST support documents into Quality documentation systems.
- Manage IST in the absence of a Chief Corporate Emergency Officer.
- Develop and maintain IST processes and supporting materials.
- Manage IST in the absence of a Chief Corporate Emergency Officer.
- Provide overall coordination of IST activities including maintenance of the IST Plan, coordination of IST exercises, establishing review and update schedules, distribution and control of IST documents, and manage and train IST members.
- Support governance and implementation of the HSE digital strategy and processes to ensure alignment with functional priorities, enterprise IT standards, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Safety, Environmental, project management, or a related field.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, or HSE related degree.
- Experience with HSE Management Systems and digital tools, systems, and enterprise software platforms (e.g., Sphera, Intelex, or similar HSE management platforms).
Qualifications
- Ability to influence through persuasive communication (oral and written).
- Strong project management and organizational skills, and ability to plan and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of HSE regulatory requirements governing work area and the associated compliance activities.
- Knowledge of general business models and concepts used by workgroups.
- Experience with IT system administration and ownership responsibilities.
- Experience in risk management, crisis management, or disaster recovery.
- Project or Program Management experience.
- Knowledge of HSE policies, procedures, data management, metrics development, and reporting systems.

Pay
The anticipated wage for this position is $115,500 - $184,800.
Schedule
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
