About the role
The Sr Principal Engineering Liaison – NCR Liaison Officer (26-330) role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels. This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates and shares Event Objective Worksheets (EOWs) created by MDA and the NT
- Interfaces with MDA and C2BMC Command Center (CCC or “Cube”) personnel to gather status updates
- Identifies and helps resolve operational issues
- Develops solutions to complex technical problems that require ingenuity and innovation
- Prepares operational plans, schedules, costs, internal office communications, and briefing materials
- Represents the C2BMC National Team within the User community
Requirements
- Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs
- Experience in a joint or service command headquarters staff
- Understanding of the operational environment
- Experience with Command and Control Systems in an Operations Center
- Experience briefing at the general officer/flag officer level
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
- Self-starting problem solver with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
- Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the eligibility to be read on to SCI clearance
- Experience with Missile Defense and with a Command and Control system is highly desirable
- Knowledge of the Joint Staff environment, processes, and personnel is preferred
- Experience with the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment (ITWAA) systems would be beneficial
