Sr Principal Engineer - Harness & Interconnect
About the role
The Precision Control Actuation System (PCAS) department within Raytheon is looking for an expert mechanical design engineer to support the development, build, and verification of harnessing systems. This role supports Integrated Product Teams primarily focused on tactical missiles.
Responsibilities
- Work autonomously to design and modify harness and interconnect devices
- Conduct detailed mechanical design, test design and execution, and systems engineering
- Create proposals and estimates, and manage earned value
- Coach and review the work of other professionals as needed
Qualifications
- Typically requires a STEM degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and 7+ years of experience
- Expertise in harness and interconnect design, including complex systems and interconnects
- Experience with industry/military standards and specifications, and technical requirements derivation
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and schematic creation tools
- Experience with flex and rigid flex design, including signal integrity and thermal management
- Proven ability to solve complex problems related to the product lifecycle
