About the Role

Performs engineering work in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments. Recognized as an expert within the company, this role requires in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in engineering disciplines and broad knowledge of other job disciplines. Solves unique problems with broad business impact and contributes to the development of organizational functional strategy. Progression to this level is typically restricted based on business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies.
• Analyzes, develops, and evaluates systems.
• Improves and maintains current systems or creates brand-new projects.
• Designs and drafts blueprints, visits systems in the field, and manages projects.
• Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree and 10-12 years of experience OR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
• Critical professional-related technical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Mathematical skills and technical expertise.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods.
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• May need to stand for long periods.
• Work may require exposure to changing climate conditions, both inside and outside, and/or operating machinery.
• This position is safety-sensitive.
