Sr. Pricing Analyst

In this role you will lead pricing and cost estimating efforts across our commercial and government portfolio, with a primary focus on competitive commercial satellite systems pricing. You will balance market-driven competitive pricing with cost-based methodologies and clearly communicate pricing recommendations to senior leadership. This includes developing pricing tools, conducting competitive analyses, and supporting both new business pursuits and strategic growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain pricing models for commercial satellite products and services
- Support business development teams in pricing complex commercial proposals
- Cost and price satellite systems and subsystems, coordinating with engineering, program management, and finance teams
- Develop pricing for both firm-fixed-price commercial contracts and cost-plus government contracts, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS when applicable
- Generate detailed pricing analyses, rate justifications, cost-volume summaries, and basis of estimates for proposal submissions
- Develop and maintain tools, templates, and processes to improve pricing efficiency and accuracy
- Investigate, analyze and summarize comparative cost and pricing history information from financial systems and ERP tools
- Present pricing strategies and recommendations to executive leadership
- Assist in program baselining efforts leveraging proposal costing information
- Conduct what-if analyses, sensitivity studies, and risk assessments to support pricing decisions
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field. 4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of pricing and/or cost estimating experience
- Experience with cost estimating methodologies and pricing approaches
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas)
Qualifications
- Master's degree in finance, business, engineering, or related domain
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial data into clear pricing recommendations
- Experience with both commercial competitive pricing and government cost-based pricing methodologies
- Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS for government contract pricing
- Experience with spacecraft or satellite systems design, development, manufacturing, or operations
- Experience developing pricing for both commercial firm-fixed-price and government cost-plus contracts
- Experience with financial analysis including cash flows, liability profiles, learning curves, and margin analysis
- Experience with ProPricer or other relevant pricing/estimating software
- Experience reviewing and analyzing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Strong communication skills necessary to articulate pricing strategy to senior business leaders and cross-functional teams
- Organized, detail-oriented individual with ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy
- Creativity in solving complex problems
Pay
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
- Colorado: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually
- New Jersey: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually
- Delaware: $76,000.00 - $126,000.00 annually
- Washington, DC metropolitan area: $83,000.00 - $139,000.00 annually
- California: $87,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually
- All other states: Geographic cost of labor will be used to develop market-driven ranges
