Sr. Pricing Analyst
About the role
This position provides support to the generation of revenue through analyzing historical data and performance to advise on profitable arrangements and rate structures. Works closely with firm partners, Pricing leadership, Business Development, Marketing, Legal Project Management, Billing Operations, and Staff Leadership. Resolves complex data and reports to develop a story and advise on forward options. Manages multiple projects and initiatives as needed.
This position can sit in any of our U.S. offices and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with Firm Partners, Business Development/Pitch Team, and Pricing Leadership to develop rate proposals, fee estimates, and pricing options in response to client RFPs and ad-hoc requests.
- Interact with Firm Partners and internal rates team to identify rate renewal opportunities, develop proposals, receive Practice Group approval, and communicate/submit per the relevant deadline(s).
- Mentor, support, and provide direction to Pricing Analysts on the team.
- Develop models to assess financial impact and profitability of pricing proposals, and assist in the development of creative, workable pricing solutions in response to client demands, including alternative fee arrangements.
- Perform historical analytics of matters in coordination with firm partners/attorneys to identify key risks and drivers of fee magnitude to build robust pricing models for broader implementation.
- Participate in the development of systems, tools, budgeting templates, and processes to support pricing, discounting, and billing rate renewals.
- Work with Billing/Rates, New Business Intake, and Firm Partners to ensure billing system setup and documentation of clients/matters captures intended pricing arrangements, rates, and other relevant client notes.
- Compile and communicate relevant progress, wins, and risks to Pricing/Firm Leadership in a timely manner.
- Work on special projects in support of the Firm’s strategic initiatives.
- Perform other duties and ad-hoc analyses as assigned or required to meet Firm goals and objectives.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field.
- 5 years of directly related experience, preferably in financial analysis, billing, accounting, or similar type work.

Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Pay
The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $89,991 - $143,088 depending on the candidate’s geographic market location. The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications.
