Primary Function The Sr Portfolio Manager is responsible for client relationship management. This includes servicing oversite, strategy implementation, facilitation of transactions, and overall profitability for the organization. The individual will leverage excellent communication skills, creative talents, project management, and analytical skills. Principal Duties Serve as the key, empowered single point of contact for a dedicated group of 3rd party mortgage clients.Take responsibility for the creation, design, and implementation of value-add business strategies and client campaigns that affect current operating practices and company policy.Be accountable for key operational risk-management metrics including investigating and coordinating the resolution of any operational issues that are discovered.Manage the delegated authority request process for a dedicated group of clients to ensure requests are sent to and received from clients in a timely manner.Take responsibility for the oversight and tracking of incoming transfers and where applicable completing all required GSE forms and submissions.Be accountable for oversight and management of repurchases, including partnering with prior seller/servicers.Performs a monthly oversight and reconciliation of GSE invoice management including root cause analysis and resolution for servicing errors.Demonstrate Root Cause Analytical skills in error resolution and procedural improvements.Manage Individual Client P&LsNegotiate Fee schedules and associated contractual requirements.Assist the Portfolio Management Team with assimilating new third-party clients.Partner with Legal in reviewing and providing comments on new Servicing Agreements for operational risks and concerns.Improve operational efficiency by reviewing content from Servicing Agreements and implementing the information in a format that can be tabled and queried for ease of use.Be accountable for key portfolio processes using judgment and discretion to investigate and resolve any key issues that may arise.Be able to clearly articulate and present ideas and findings to a varied audience including the production staff and senior management. Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.Organize and lead onsite visits. Education And Experience Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline.5+ years equivalent work experience in Mortgage Servicing, preferably in a client-facing function. Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements Strong knowledge of GSE guidelines and regulations is a plus.Basic accounting knowledge is a plus.Strong business communication skills with an ability to work well in a collaborative environment.Strong attention to detail coupled with organizational and project management skills.Strong skills in Excel (graphs, pivot tables, formulas).Fast learner - able to assimilate new ideas and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Prior experience with SQL is a plus.Prior work experience performing business, data, and/or statistical analysis is a plus.Experience with PowerPoint and Visio is a plus.Natural entrepreneurial interest is a plus. Examples below.Working on-site at assigned office location.Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership.Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or as business needs demand.Working in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations.Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time.Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls.Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures.
