Responsibilities
- Portfolio Strategy & Investment Team Collaboration
- Serve as a key member of the investment team, helping formulate, communicate, and advocate for the firm's investment views, portfolio positioning, and model portfolio strategies.
- Partner with the portfolio management team to support the oversight, maintenance, and evolution of Kestra Investment Management's model portfolio lineup.
- Participate in investment committee discussions, contributing market insights, economic analysis, advisor feedback, and portfolio recommendations.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and analysts to develop economic, market, and investment-related content and viewpoints.
- Mentor and guide junior team members.
- Advisor Engagement & Client Communication
- Serve as a trusted investment resource for Kestra Financial and Bluespring advisors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with advisors, helping them better understand market developments, portfolio strategies, and investment solutions.
- Conduct advisor, client, and prospect meetings designed to deepen relationships, support retention efforts, and drive adoption of Kestra Investment Management solutions.
- Business Development & Growth
- Partner with sales, relationship management, and business development teams to drive growth across Kestra Investment Management's investment offerings.
- Support advisor acquisition, retention, and wallet-share expansion initiatives through investment expertise and consultative engagement.
- Help increase adoption of model portfolios and investment solutions through advisor education, portfolio consultations, and investment thought leadership.
- Serve as a strategic investment resource for the sales organization and contribute to efforts designed to grow assets under management.
- Partner with advisors to develop customized portfolio recommendations for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, leveraging the firm's investment solutions, portfolio construction expertise, and market insights.
- Participate in client prospect and relationship meetings alongside advisors, helping articulate investment strategies, address portfolio-related questions, strengthen client confidence, and support new business acquisition and retention efforts.
- Thought Leadership & Content Development
- Contribute to the development of quarterly outlooks, market commentaries, white papers, and investment research publications.
- Author articles, commentaries, and thought leadership content for advisors, clients, prospects, and industry audiences.
- Translate investment committee decisions and portfolio changes into advisor-friendly communications.
- Assist in the development of presentations, educational materials, videos, webinars, and other advisor-facing content.
- Public Speaking & Media Engagement
- Present at advisor conferences, client events, webinars, roadshows, and industry gatherings to strengthen advisor relationships, generate business opportunities, and promote Kestra Investment Management's capabilities.
- Participate in podcasts, videos, webinars, and other public-facing content initiatives.
- Provide market commentary and investment insights through media interviews and industry publications.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree from a four-year accredited college or university required.
- CFA designation preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in investment management, wealth management, institutional consulting, portfolio strategy, market strategy, or related investment disciplines.
- Series 65 required or willingness to obtain.
- Deep knowledge of financial markets, economics, portfolio construction, asset allocation, manager selection, and investment vehicles.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across a range of audiences.
- Strong public speaking and executive presence, with the ability to confidently present to advisors, clients, prospects, and industry audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex investment concepts into compelling and understandable narratives.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to develop trusted partnerships with advisors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Superior analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity regarding markets, economic trends, and investor behavior.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and contribute to a team-based culture.
- Demonstrate personal integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications
- Experience working with independent financial advisors and wealth management platforms strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in asset allocation, portfolio construction, investment strategy, and capital markets.
- Significant experience presenting investment strategies and market views to advisors, clients, and large audiences.
- Experience contributing to thought leadership, market commentary, investment publications, or educational content.
- Media experience, including interviews, podcasts, webinars, or public speaking engagements, preferred.
- Experience supporting growth initiatives through advisor engagement, relationship management, and business development efforts preferred.
