Sr. Piping Designer

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Piping Designer to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This role will lead piping and mechanical design efforts for industrial projects, ensuring detailed specifications are translated into practical, buildable solutions. The position will partner closely with project teams and field personnel to support design execution, startup activities, and the timely delivery of engineering work. In addition, the Sr. Piping Designer will provide technical guidance to junior designers and help maintain quality and consistency across the design process.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of designers to ensure timely delivery of mechanical and piping projects
• Recognize and communicate project specifications and design criteria clearly
• Assist on-site during startup phases to ensure project execution
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff and mentor them effectively
• Produce and review detailed mechanical and piping installation specifications

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting required
• SPED Certification preferred
• 20+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping design required
• Strong knowledge of piping materials and design practices required
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD and Microstation for effective design execution

Pay

Compensation: $165,000 – $195,000 annually
