About the Role

In this senior-level role, employees are responsible for assuring execution of the PGD Environmental Management System and ensuring plant water chemistry parameters are maintained in accordance with fleet recommendations. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Optimizing site environmental maintenance and performance
  • Ensuring required sampling activities are conducted and submitted on time as outlined by site environmental permits
  • Preparing and submitting required environmental reporting to local, state, and federal agencies on time
  • Overseeing adherence to site SPCC (Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure) and FRP (Facility Response Plan) requirements
  • Performing environmental compliance assessments and audits
  • Managing hazardous waste processes and industrial hygiene programs
  • Maintaining a strong culture of compliance at the plant site
  • Ensuring strong recordkeeping with documentation that is easily accessible, clear, and current
  • Applying knowledge of air quality and water standards, monitoring, and reporting
  • Utilizing programs such as Storm Water, SPCC, and NPDES
  • Applying sound process and project management skills to deliver results
  • Addressing site environmental deficiencies with a strong bias for action
  • Using quality tools and techniques to solve complex problems
  • Standardizing processes, procedures, and techniques to ensure repeatability
  • Serving as the site subject matter expert in environmental regulatory areas, including Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) requirements, Title V operating permits, waste, and hazardous waste regulations
  • Conducting periodic environmental reviews and assisting facilities in resolving environmental compliance issues
  • Managing key environmental programs such as incident reporting, regulatory audits and inspections, and procedure updates
  • Communicating with regulatory agencies as necessary on environmental reporting and notifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintains water chemistry Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) program and communicates corrective measures to the site/plant
  • Conducts sampling activities as needed by site environmental permitting
  • Completes required reporting to local, state, and federal agencies
  • Conducts routine self-inspections
  • Oversees the plant or site safety program as required
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
