About the role

The position will be based out of the Cape Canaveral Plant in Cocoa, FL, and will require approximately 40% travel to support the fleet. Under limited guidance, this position directs a team of maintenance specialists, technicians, engineers, and contractors involved in power plant overhauls and maintenance. The individual in this role will lead internal and external resources to execute maintenance work with direct accountability for safety, environment, quality, schedule, and cost.

The ideal candidate is expected to apply rigor, discipline, and focus in following standardized processes and procedures, while continuously applying a lean and quality improvement mindset to improve the process. Preferred candidates have strong technical knowledge of power plant equipment and are skilled in understanding and resolving technical issues, including for unplanned scope. The individual in this role will work closely with other Supervisors and Contract Coordinators to develop and implement complex plans for execution of work scope.

Responsibilities

  • Direct a team of maintenance specialists, technicians, engineers, and contractors involved in major maintenance activities or plant maintenance
  • Lead internal and external resources to deliver certainty for assigned major maintenance activities or plant maintenance to achieve objectives for safety, environmental, quality, schedule, and cost compliance
  • Focus on streamlining activities through the use of lean maintenance techniques and standardized processes and procedures
  • Develop leadership skills to assume direct accountability for internal employee development and performance management
  • Lead the cost and schedule functions in accordance with corporate financial policies and procedures
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • 4+ years of experience
  • 0+ years of supervisor/management experience
