About the role
The Sr. People Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in scaling effective employee experiences by owning HR processes end-to-end. This includes managing new hire coordination, facilitating onboarding, supporting HR data integrity, and resolving People Operations issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage employment lifecycle transactions in Workday or an equivalent HRIS, including new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, and leave events.
- Ensure records are accurate, timely, and complete before payroll cut-off.
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding end-to-end, including I-9 verification, system provisioning requests, Day 1 scheduling, and 30-day check-ins.
- Track completion and escalate blockers before they affect the new hire experience.
- Support the accuracy of employee data in Workday and maintain recurring People reports.
- Use AI to accelerate data synthesis, surface anomalies, and flag discrepancies before they compound.
- Process People Operations Tier 1 and Tier 2 tickets with clear, timely follow-through.
- Recommend documentation or process improvements that reduce repeat questions and improve the employee experience.
Requirements
- 1 or more years of experience in HR operations, People Operations, or a directly adjacent function.
- Hands-on HRIS experience, including accurate data entry, employee lifecycle transaction processing, and basic report generation.
- Active use of AI tools in daily work, such as drafting, research, data synthesis, or reporting, with a demonstrated willingness to keep experimenting.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex policy or benefits information into clear employee-facing language.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, including making reasonable process decisions when there is no playbook, documenting the approach, and improving it over time.
- Prioritize keeping multiple concurrent processes moving without losing detail or follow-through.
Qualifications
- Workday experience.
- Familiarity with HR compliance requirements across multiple US states, including leave law basics.
- Prior experience in a high-growth technology or SaaS company.

Pay
The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Raleigh, NC is USD 69,900 - USD 84,000.
