Key job responsibilities

  • Participate in the definition and implementation of multiple spacecraft subsystems
  • Contribute in all phases of PCB design and production
  • Bring a combination of PCB design, fabrication, assembly, and test knowledge to a highly collaborative cross team functional team
  • Work with the Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to ensure the design meets all requirements from an electrical performance and mechanical enclosure perspective
  • Create all documentation packages required to fabricate and assemble the PCB/PCBA

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years experience of PCB layout design using industry standard PCB design suites
  • 5+ years experience with high speed circuits
  • 5+ years experience managing multiple projects in parallel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stackup and circuit board layout
  • Experience with using Mentor Xpedition
  • Experience in developing and design for manufacturing of PCBs deployed in space environments
  • Experience with high current density designs
  • Experience managing 3rd party layout services
  • Knowledge of PCB failure modes and reliability in extreme environments
  • Experience as a technical lead for small teams of PCB design engineers
  • Experience developing IPC class 2 and 3 boards
  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional technical teams
  • Ability to participate in schematic and design reviews

Pay

  • USA, CA, San Diego: $137,300.00 - $185,700.00 USD annually
  • USA, CA, Sunnyvale: $157,900.00 - $213,600.00 USD annually
  • USA, NY, New York: $157,100.00 - $212,600.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Austin: $137,300.00 - $185,700.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Redmond: $137,300.00 - $185,700.00 USD annually
