Schedule
- Develop PCB component footprints per IPC-SM-782 and manufacturer's data sheets.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, PCB designers, and Manufacturing group to design new products or modify/sustain existing products.
- Create multi-layer (4-16 layers) stack-up and board outline mechanical & keepout.
- Identify signal topologies and implement constraints using Allegro Constraint Manager.
- Place components and route PCBs, including proficient routing of differential pairs and controlled impedance lines with tight length matching requirements.
- Document development of fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Lead placement and post-layout review meetings and assist in other review meetings such as schematic and DFM review meetings.
- Stay updated on industry standards and technologies to integrate and update tools as needed.
A BS in Electronics is preferred, with an MS being a plus. 5+ years of PCB design experience is required, including Cadence Allegro & Orcad Capture Design tool experience for 5 years or more. Experience with high-speed digital system design, high-density interconnect design, power supply circuit designs, and analog circuits is necessary. The ability to read and understand component manufacturer's data sheets is essential. Excellent internet research capabilities are also required.
The position requires a self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. A strong background in JEDEC DDR3, DDR4, and DDR5 standards is beneficial. The candidate should be able to interface with customers and understand their requirements, identify areas of innovation in memory design, and have experience with invention disclosure and the patent process. Strong proficiency in applying modern generative AI tools and Agentic frameworks to real-world business problems is desired.

Pay
The base pay range for this position in California is $120,000 - $135,000. The actual compensation may vary based on business considerations, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
Schedule
This is an on-site position in Newark, CA or Irvine, CA. Travel is not required.
