About the role
The Sr Payroll Analyst will manage the entire payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal laws. They will collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to maintain smooth payroll operations and support internal and external audits.
Responsibilities
- Direct experience with payroll processing, including timekeeping, deductions, and extra payments.
- Multi-state payroll experience with calculations of local, city, and state taxes.
- Researching and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.
- Investigating and resolving payroll issues, such as timekeeping and deductions.
- Providing subject matter expertise and assisting with employee queries.
- Maintaining and updating payroll systems, including data entry, system configuration, and testing updates.
- Collaborating with IT on system upgrades and implementations related to payroll processing.
- Supporting internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements for payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
- 5+ years full-cycle payroll experience.
- Expertise in payroll software applications (e.g., ADP Global View, SAP/Oracle HCM).
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Microsoft Excel for generating spreadsheets, creating formulas, and analyzing data.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Payroll Certifications: CPP, FPC, NACPB.
