About the role
Unity Lab Services offers integrated lab services, support, and supply management with customized solutions and expert service. As an Order Management Specialist, you will ensure smooth order processing that maintains customer satisfaction and team alignment.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with order-related tasks through systems like SAP/Oracle, Salesforce, and EDI portals, including entering, updating, canceling, or expediting orders and returns.
- Track and resolve customer inquiries about pricing, availability, delivery status, invoices, credits, and deductions, aiming for first-contact resolution.
- Identify and fix EDI “kick-out” errors and ensure accurate data.
- Follow guidelines to complete tasks on time and accurately.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and Commercial teams to solve problems and resolve customer issues.
- Monitor order progress, identify potential delays, and suggest workflow improvements.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
- 2–3 years of customer-service, order entry, or call-center experience.
- Comfortable using Microsoft 365; experience with ERP/CRM systems (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce) a plus.
- Strong written and verbal English skills.
- Keen attention to detail, solid time-management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods while performing administrative and computer-related tasks in an office environment.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing steps, and assisting with staging or checking order accuracy in environments with varying temperatures.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime, holidays, or weekend shifts, as needed.
- Must successfully complete Thermo Fisher’s pre-employment screening (including background check and drug test) and any customer-mandated screening, credentialing, or badging requirements.
