About the role

As an inventory management specialist, you’ll use handheld RF scanners and our mobile app to perform replenishments, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry, returns, and backorder processing. You’ll receive and inspect shipments, scan and store items, and maintain cycle counts to ensure up-to-date inventory records. This role involves significant customer interaction—primarily via email but also by phone—to resolve questions, build trust, and assist internal partners. You’ll collaborate with supervisors and teammates to propose and implement workflow improvements while upholding safety and organization standards in every work area.

Responsibilities

Use handheld RF scanners and mobile apps for replenishments, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry, returns, and backorder processing
Receive and inspect shipments, scan and store items, and maintain accurate inventory records
Respond to customer inquiries via email and phone, and assist internal partners to resolve questions and build trust
Collaborate with supervisors and teammates to propose and implement workflow improvements
Uphold safety and organization standards by following site guidelines and wearing required PPE
Proactively monitor stock levels and flag gaps or issues to prevent operational impacts
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
2–3 years of customer-facing, retail stocking, warehouse, or inventory-control experience
Confident using RF handheld scanners or mobile scanning apps and basic Microsoft Office tools
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, especially via email, with a friendly, solution-focused approach
Self-starter who thrives with detail, accountability, and teamwork

Environmental Conditions

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance (up to 50 lbs. occasionally); may use pushcarts and forklifts to move up to 100 lbs.
Cleanroom environment: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, or facial hair allowed
Exposure to cold rooms/freezers (-22°F/-6°C), fluctuating temperatures, and laboratory settings
Required PPE includes safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, and other protective equipment
Exposure to strong odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products) and hazardous/toxic materials
Work may involve various outside weather conditions and areas with chemical-based allergens (e.g., penicillin, tetracycline)
Frequent standing, walking, and manual material handling; overtime may be necessary

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position in California is $20.23–$30.34. This position may also be eligible for a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance.
