Responsibilities
- Gather business requirements and design business applications.
- Configure and maintain application systems.
- Perform systems testing and provide end-user production support.
- Support the business by understanding their processes and how they relate to the applications.
- Research system functionality and operations using analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Anticipate business partner's questions and provide regular updates.
- Use basic to advanced SQL select statements to understand table structures.
- Resolve technical issues with detailed documentation.
- Collaborate with other company departments and external vendors.
- Plan, organize, and direct the implementation and development of supported applications.
- Analyze and resolve functional/technical problems and user needs.
- Document requirements and implement solutions following the GMF Software Development Lifecycle methodology.
- Revise existing systems as necessary and revise or modify procedures.
- Interface with software vendors and suppliers.
- Coordinate with program development teams on software interfaces.
- Communicate with management and business partners on business systems and project status.
- Work closely with internal business units to facilitate project completion.
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of business processes for supported business groups.
- Advanced knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure, and operations.
- Significant experience in a large and complex business environment.
- Strong working knowledge of information systems and operations systems for supported business groups.
- Knowledge of GM Financial's core business functions.
- Knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Knowledgeable of best practices in information technology governance and regulatory landscape for financial institutions.
- Significant experience in ERP systems for the Finance modules.
- Leadership experience in project track and deliverables.
- Experience in ERP system implementation and support as a functional resource.
- Strong computer skills and conversance in information technology issues.
- Advanced ability to create and work RFC and SR tickets with Oracle on Demand, Oracle Managed Cloud Services, and Oracle Support.
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP Cloud Financials (GL, AP, BPM, SLA, FA, PAY, CE, iExp, AR Lite, RMC, OTBI Reporting, and FCCS).
- Knowledge of EDMCS.
- Excellent writing and speaking skills.
- Ability to meet expected delivery dates and manage investigations with minimal supervision.
- Accounting knowledge, GAAP, and IFRS.
- AIM Methodology and Project Management Lifecycle knowledge.
- Excellent proactive planning and initiative in project and support efforts.
- Advanced ability to create and work RFC and SR tickets with Oracle on Demand, Oracle Managed Cloud Services, and Oracle Support.
- Knowledge of data visualization concepts and tools.
- Education and experience: 5-7 years of experience implementing and supporting ERP systems for the Finance modules, 3-5 years of leadership of project track and deliverables, greater than 10 years of implementation and support on ERP system as a functional resource preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work or military experience preferred.
