Sr Operations Project Analyst
About the role
This position supports project or testing activities within an operational department or Line of Business. Responsibilities include researching and documenting organizational reviews, conducting workflow analysis, data preparation, and triggering. The role is critical in the Onboarding and Documents team, which executes strategic initiatives supporting the broader Wealth Management Data Strategy. The team enhances how Global Wealth Investment Management (GWIM) acquires, manages, stores, and maintains client information, improving efficiency, accuracy, and governance of client data and documentation processes.
The successful candidate will manage day-to-day activities associated with onboarding and documentation initiatives, including project requirements gathering, user acceptance testing (UAT), implementation support, and user readiness activities. This role supports client onboarding, account maintenance, data management, documentation, and terms and conditions-related initiatives for the Merrill and Private Bank lines of business.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Testing team in understanding changes, writing and executing scripts, completing data preparation, conditioning, and triggering events.
- Leads defect resolution, providing documentation and communicating with Development resources and project stakeholders on resolution and retest statuses.
- Coordinates with the business to execute defined project tasks, track deliverables, measure progress, and escalate roadblocks.
- Analyzes current state processes, operations, and workflows to identify pain points and develop potential solutions, including building business cases for improvement recommendations.
- Manages and administers key activities for medium to large projects, such as coordination of change-related activities, reporting, and testing.
- Communicates with business owners, stakeholders, and subject matter experts on project plans, risks, issues, scope, assumptions, gap analysis, and test plans.
- Leads multiple projects and strategic initiatives concurrently, managing end-to-end delivery including business analysis, requirements development, testing, defect management, implementation validation, risk assessment, and user readiness.
- Partners with Business, Operations, and Technology teams to assess priorities, define solutions, and ensure successful planning and execution of key initiatives.
- Builds and maintains strong cross-functional relationships, driving collaboration, stakeholder alignment, and accountability to achieve business objectives.
- Operates independently in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality results.

Requirements
- 1+ years of experience supporting operational or project-related initiatives, including business analysis, requirements management, business process documentation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and implementation of technology solutions.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and drive successful project outcomes.
- Brokerage or Investment Management Business or Support Experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate cross-functional meetings and develop presentations for management and senior stakeholders.
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across organizational levels and navigate competing priorities.
- Experience managing and facilitating meetings, including virtual and hybrid forums, to support project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent (minimum education requirement).
- Familiarity with Onboarding and Maintenance systems supporting Wealth Management and Private Bank products (desired).
- Understanding of Agile project management methodology (desired).
