Sr Operations Manager
About the role
The Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC), managed and operated by Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies, is a premier advanced manufacturing facility supporting the safety, security, reliability, and effectiveness of the U.S. nuclear deterrent. The role involves leading and coordinating activities within the organizational Supply Chain, implementing strategies to deliver quality products and services to meet customer requirements, and promoting continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Initiates and implements supply chain strategies to deliver products and services to customer requirements.
- Interfaces and collaborates with other organizations to formulate common objectives and implement strategies to achieve quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Maintains effective relationships with the DOE, NNSA, and regulatory agencies.
- Develops and implements staffing plans and budget proposals consistent with anticipated workloads.
- Maintains and directs compliance with DOE, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Directly supervises employees and performs other managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Directs and promotes full and complete compliance with DOE, federal, state and local regulatory requirements through the establishment of policy, programs, and systems.
Requirements
- 9 or more years of experience, 2 years of which must be directly managing a team.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related field.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Ability to work on-site as directed by management and as determined by the needs of the business.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
