Risk Management
Support sites in identifying, assessing, and mitigating safety risks, with a focus on high-risk operations and in alignment with the company’s Critical to Life Standards Program and Process Safety Framework.
Program Deployment
Assist in the implementation and integration of corporate safety standards, policies, and programs at sites level.
Training & Coaching
- Deliver training sessions and provide coaching to local EHS teams and operational leaders to strengthen safety culture and competency.
Safety Culture Development (Plant-Level Support)
- Act as a coach and advisor to plant leadership and frontline EHS teams, enabling them to embed safety into daily operations.
- Provide tools, best practices, and guidance to empower local teams to lead cultural transformation and drive engagement at the shop-floor level.
Zero-Accidents Mindset
- Champion initiatives and behaviors that support site leaders and local staff on achieving of zero accidents culture, ensuring safety is prioritized in all operations.
Behavior-Based Safety
- Assist on the Design of the Corporate Behavior Based Safety Program and supports sites on its implementation.
Safe Leadership Development
- Provide safety leadership skills training to supervisors and frontline leaders, ensuring they lead by example and are skilled for integrating safety into daily decision-making.
Auditing
- Carry out comprehensive safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, including Balchem Critical to Life Standards.
Incident Analysis
- Lead or assist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and development of effective corrective and preventive actions.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive initiatives to enhance safety performance, reduce risk exposure, and improve operational controls.
Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into operational processes and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an EH&S related Science or Engineering field. Advanced degree or professional certifications are required.
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in occupational safety within industrial environments. Experience within Food, Pharmaceutical or Chemical Industries is a plus.
- High adaptability and willingness to travel extensively.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all operational levels.
- Deep knowledge of safety regulations, word class standards and best practices.
- Strong auditing and incidents investigation skills.
- Demonstrated people management and team building skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/programs simultaneously.
- Excellent written, verbal, listening and presentation skills.
Pay
$125,000 - $165,000 annually.
