Sr. Operational Excellence Manager

Responsibilities

  • Establish the Operational Excellence culture within the organization by defining action plans necessary to provide tools, training and expertise to support OpEx.
  • Champion a data-driven, problem-solving culture to investigate issues and establish robust action plans.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and ability to develop scenarios and options aligned with the strategy and goals of the business.
  • Own the metrics and KPI development and tools for the NADL team to ensure harmonization, effectiveness and ability to align with other regions.
  • Identify opportunities to significantly reduce operating costs, cycle times and lead or direct the implementation efforts (including project management).
  • Improve the capabilities of the organization by training and mentoring personnel on Operational Excellence tools.
  • Lead strategy sessions with Senior Management and their teams.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (including procurement, quality, BTS and finance).
  • Establish and lead program teams to plan, execute, monitor cost, and performance to ensure that defined program goals are met.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or Science (required)
  • Training in Lean and Six Sigma improvement methodologies (required)
  • 5 years experience in biopharmaceutical production or related areas (required)
  • 8+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience (preferred)
  • Strong computer skills (required)
