About the role
The Sr. Operational Excellence Manager will be responsible for developing and driving the Operational Excellence culture for the NADL warehousing and logistics teams. The Sr. Manager will ensure the fostering of a culture of excellence, empowering the operations team to achieve high performance and ensure sustainable results. The strategy must incorporate the integration of business knowledge, process improvement methodologies, and personal soft skills to deliver business performance and meet or exceed financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Establish the Operational Excellence culture within the organization by defining action plans necessary to provide tools, training, and expertise to support OpEx.
- Champion a data-driven, problem-solving culture to investigate issues and establish robust action plans.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and ability to develop scenarios and options aligned with the strategy and goals of the business.
- Own the metrics and KPI development and tools for the NADL team to ensure harmonization, effectiveness, and ability to align with other regions.
- Identify opportunities to significantly reduce operating costs, cycle times, and lead or direct the implementation efforts (including project management).
- Improve the capabilities of the organization by training and mentoring personnel on Operational Excellence tools.
- Lead strategy sessions with Senior Management and their teams.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (including procurement, quality, BTS, and finance).
- Establish and lead program teams to plan, execute, monitor cost, and performance to ensure that defined program goals are met.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering or Science (required).
- Training in Lean and Six Sigma improvement methodologies (required).
- 5 years of experience in biopharmaceutical production or related areas (required) and 8+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience (preferred).
- Strong computer skills (required).
