Sr. On Premise Market Execution Specialist
Support the execution and achievement of Annual Business Plan (ABP) targets for the On-Premise Channel within a designated geographic area aligned with Constellation Brands Gold Network distributor partners. Drive superior retail execution against on-premise sales priorities and channel strategies, manage local market execution, develop and deliver local business plans with distributor teams, increase distribution and availability of the beer portfolio, and optimize brand positioning at retail to maximize sales and market share growth.
Responsibilities
- Execute local market on-premise strategies and initiatives across assigned areas.
- Collaborate with On-Premise Market Execution Senior Manager, national/key account teams, local distributor management, and Gold Network Distributor partners to develop and execute on-premise business plans and growth initiatives.
- Integrate overarching on-premise strategies and key sales priorities into localized plans.
- Prioritize local market opportunities, including strategic account development, national/regional account integration, distributor engagement, special event support, and retail execution strategies.
- Provide direct support and execution of strategies and key sales priorities in assigned areas.
- Build and maintain relationships with owners, operators, and managers of strategic national, regional, and independent accounts.
- Execute CBI’s on-premise strategies and key sales initiatives across strategic accounts, overseeing local market programs and promotional activities.
- Assist in building localized on-premise development plans, including sales, distribution, and promotional efforts.
- Support Constellation Market Development Managers in developing On-Premise components of annual business plans.
- Identify, prioritize, and activate programming in strategic on-premise accounts aligned with Constellation’s target demographics and growth initiatives.
- Serve as the local on-premise market expert, staying updated on influencer and strategic accounts impacting market performance.
- Report local market activity, insights, and business updates to the On-Premise Market Execution Senior Manager and key stakeholders.
- Increase distribution and availability of industry-leading brands in draft and package formats across the on-premise channel.
- Drive best-in-class retail execution, ensuring local plans align with overarching sales priorities and growth strategies.
- Utilize sales support tools, processes, and programming to achieve executional excellence in partnership with geographic business teams and local distributor partners.
- Execute national and key account programming at the local market level, including new product and packaging rollouts.
- Partner with the broader sales team to build plans identifying target package/brand opportunities, account lists, and resource allocation.
- Manage the sales budgeting process for the assigned area, ensuring proper allocation of resources, market investments, and brand activations aligned with key sales priorities.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience (in lieu of degree, minimum of four years of sales experience with a malt beverage supplier or wholesaler).
- 4+ years of retail sales experience in the beverage alcohol industry (malt beverage preferred).
- Complete understanding of the on-premise retail environment.
- Working knowledge of the promotional marketing process.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to utilize business information reporting and sales reporting tools.
- Ability to travel 20-30% of working time, including driving up to 5 hours.
- Self-starter with strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills to manage business priorities across projects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships, initiate action, and adapt to change.
- Effective communication skills and ability to influence at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Qualifications
- Must be able to move up to 55 lbs.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods and work at a desk/personal computer for extended periods.
- Primary work environment includes a professional corporate office and in-trade settings.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, be able to drive a car, and travel via plane/train as needed.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Location
Naperville, Illinois. Additional locations include Aurora, Illinois; Joliet, Illinois; Orland Park, Illinois.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $82,400.00 - $123,600.00. Compensation is based on cost of labor and may vary by geographic market. The final pay position within the range will depend on factors such as qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
