Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, process development, or new product introduction (NPI)
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers in a high-mix, low- to mid-volume production environment
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and engineering documentation systems (e.g., PLM tools like Agile, Windchill)
- Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and ability to lead design reviews with cross-functional teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related engineering or technical discipline
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
- Experience launching hardware products in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, automotive, aerospace, or consumer electronics)
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- Hands-on experience supporting production line setups, validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), and ramp-ups
