About the Role
- Lead the design, development, testing, and commercialization of new circuit protection products.
- Develop and evaluate new product concepts, prototypes, and engineering solutions.
- Create mechanical specifications, engineering drawings, design documentation, and cost estimates.
- Conduct product verification and validation activities, including test plan development and execution.
- Analyze test results and identify opportunities for product performance improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and product optimization.
- Research new materials, technologies, and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Procure samples, build prototypes, and perform testing to validate design concepts.
- Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and project updates for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
- Interface directly with customers to understand application requirements and develop effective product solutions.
- Participate in project reviews and provide regular progress updates to leadership and project teams.
- Support compliance with industry standards and third-party certification requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience designing electrical power fuses, fuse accessories, or related circuit protection products.
- Strong knowledge of fuse design principles and circuit protection technologies.
- Understanding of industry standards, certification requirements, and third-party approval processes (UL or equivalent).
- Experience working within manufacturing environments and product industrialization processes.
- Proven project management experience with the ability to lead multiple development activities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheets and documentation tools.
- Experience using AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar 2D/3D CAD software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and product testing capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, quality, and customer-facing teams.
- Medium Voltage Fuse experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment.
Pay
Salary Range: $88,500 - $137,100. The salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
