BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Senior MRI Technologist - Operating Room (Day Shift) for Barnes-Jewish Hospital New Plaza West Tower. The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
Position Details
BJC HealthCare System is seeking experienced Radiologic Technologists and MRI Technologists to join their team. NO CALL Day Shift hours are 3 days per week at 12-hour shifts. This is a Full-Time position with 40 hours per week.
Benefits Eligible
This is a Benefits Eligible position and an Advanced Modality Technologist position. Radiologic / Radiology Technologist Siemens MRI Machines are used in this role.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in related field
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)

Role Purpose
Performs all responsibilities of a Advanced Modality Technologist and assumes responsibilities of the Lead Tech in their absence. Assists in the development and training of students and/or new employees. Senior Advance Modality Technologist must have 3 or more responsibilities within the following categories: hospital/department initiatives, patient experience and employee engagement, quality assurance, process improvement and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patient and equipment for procedures
- Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area
- Affords assistance with regulatory compliance for the department (ACR, JC)
- Maintains up-to-date regulatory information
- Oversees department quality assurance program under the direction of the Clinical Instructor or Lead/Charge
- Participates in department or hospital safety/quality process improvements and initiatives
- Leads the team in improving patient experience and/or improving employee engagement
- Mentors new employee and/or clinical students under the direction of the CI
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Associate or Trade School
- Experience: 2-5 years Supervisor Experience
- Licenses & Certifications: IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRIR.T.(R), CT,MR,M,BD,CI,VI,RCIS
- Experience: 5-10 years
Preferred Requirements
- Licenses & Certifications: Cardiopulmonary ResuscitationIntravenous Therapy
