About the role
Cox Fleet is seeking a Senior Mobile Trailer Technician to support the company's growth. This position requires a strong background in trailer maintenance and repair, with the ability to perform complex diagnostics and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on trailers and equipment.
- Adjust and repair various trailer equipment and systems, including aluminum and chem-lite, trailer brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps, engines, liftgates, and brake chambers.
- Document repairs using company-issued iOS devices and proprietary TRAIT application.
- Complete DOT forms and other required documentation.
- Manage parts inventory and perform safety checks on company-issued service vehicles.
- Communicate with management and support teams regarding repair estimates and RO findings.
- Diagnose and assist with complex repairs as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- OEM training and certifications preferred.
- Valid driver's license with CDL-A preference.
- Current DOT medical card with more than four months remaining.
- ASE T8 (PMI), ASE 608/609, ASE T4 (Brakes), ASE T5 (Suspension), ASE T6 (Electrical and Electronic Systems), and ASE T7 (HVAC) certifications preferred.

Pay
The hourly pay rate is $29.38 - $44.09 per hour, with potential for additional compensation.
Schedule
Work is performed at the customer's site, with a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the business.
