About the role
This role functions as an advanced subject matter expert responsible for leading complex strategic initiatives that influence divisional outcomes and support broader planning. It manages large cross-functional workstreams, applying deep expertise in strategic analysis, business model evaluation, and long-range planning. The role identifies growth opportunities, evaluates potential innovations, and integrates commercial intelligence into medium- to long-term strategic recommendations. It collaborates across multiple functions to resolve complex challenges and ensure that strategic work aligns with organizational objectives and priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead Large, Complex Strategic Initiatives: Independently lead strategic initiatives that span multiple functions and shape critical business outcomes within a division or function. Define project scope, align partners across related areas, and build structured workplans to guide execution. Track progress, remove roadblocks, and adjust plans to maintain momentum and ensure delivery against strategic objectives.
- Influence Functional Strategic Decision-Making: Synthesize commercial intelligence, market insights, and financial implications to shape recommendations for functional and divisional leaders. Present structured decision options, articulate tradeoffs, and clarify impacts across the value chain. Support alignment around strategic choices that prioritize long-term value creation and cross-functional implications.
- Assess Medium- to Long-Term Business Trends and Growth Opportunities: Evaluate emerging market dynamics, competitive shifts, and technological developments that may influence growth and profitability. Use research, benchmarking, and scenario analysis to generate actionable insights on risks and opportunities. Convert these insights into prioritized recommendations that inform functional and divisional planning.
- Develop and Evaluate Business Model and Growth Opportunities: Conduct structured assessments of potential business model innovations and growth paths. Perform financial evaluation, scenario analysis, and feasibility assessments to determine strategic value and operational viability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate assumptions and ensure proposed models align with organizational capabilities and objectives.
- Manage Strategic Workplans and Cross-Functional Execution: Develop comprehensive workplans that outline objectives, milestones, roles, dependencies, and risk mitigations. Manage execution across multiple workstreams, coordinating deliverables and resolving issues that affect timeline, scope, or quality. Ensure project outcomes remain tightly connected to defined strategic priorities and performance targets.
