Responsibilities
- Act as Technical Project Manager/Scrum Master for multiple teams to deliver solutions supporting key product and engineering initiatives.
- Provide cross-functional coordination with Engineering, Product Management, and inter/intra-team communications to deliver outstanding program outcomes.
- Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other engineering teams to ensure high-quality products and features progress through the SDLC (build, test, and release on time).
- Manage project schedules, identify possible risks/issues, and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders.
- Maintain data-driven and logical approaches while contributing to technical discussions.
- Oversee release and dependency plans across Engineering teams and external partners.
- Actively identify, manage, and raise risks, issues, and changes tied to product development initiatives.
- Conduct Planning sessions and Scrum ceremonies, focusing on continuous learning from past experiences.
- Identify opportunities to embrace innovative technologies and processes.
- Leverage a technical delivery background with a strong understanding of software engineering and technologies.
- Demonstrate organization, diligence, proactivity, and passion for delivery.
- Excel in Agile and Scrum development teams within fast-paced environments.
- Understand technology solutions at an enterprise level.
- Communicate effectively and negotiate with third parties, development, and product managers.
- Clarify objectives, address ambiguity, advocate for simplification, influence teams, and navigate solutions independently.
Requirements
- 7+ years of IT experience with 4+ years of Agile experience as a Scrum Master managing medium to large software development projects.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM/SSM/PMI) Certification.
- Agile experience managing multiple Scrum Teams for software development projects.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, and other functions involved in project delivery.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with leadership, technical, and non-technical groups.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, consultation, and organizational skills.
- JIRA expertise: Sprint Reporting, Roadmapping, Dependency management.
- AI literacy with the ability to leverage AI tools for productivity, understand basic AI concepts and governance, and identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.
- Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States (visa sponsorship will not be provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.
- SaaS Technical Delivery experience.
- Passion for building technical solutions.
