About the Role
This pivotal role within the Marketing and Communications team reports directly to the Commercial VP. The Senior Manager, Store Development & Planning will execute and promote excellence in the design and presentation of all point-of-sale (POS) materials across the network. You will lead and coordinate with internal design teams, consultants, contractors, and business partners from feasibility studies through construction and turnover.
Responsibilities
- Location Scouting
- Analyze potential locations.
- Develop project budgets and timelines.
- Design and Development
- Perform research and produce design mood boards.
- Lead and coordinate with internal and external design teams and architects.
- Support the drawing phase.
- Pre-Construction
- Identify project architects and consultants; lead the bidding process to ensure budget and quality.
- Work with the legal department to review design and construction-related lease exhibits and contracts.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, design intent, and luxury standards.
- Monitor design progress, identify cost-saving opportunities, and review construction drawings.
- Oversee permit timelines.
- Lead the tender phase with architects or quantity surveyor consultants.
- Review scope of work with bidding general contractors and millworkers.
- Construction
- Manage the entire project cycle from conception to closeout, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
- Oversee approximately 5 retail construction projects per year across the Americas.
- Coordinate construction between international store development and planning (SDP), local teams, consultants, and vendors.
- Manage construction, turnover, and punch-list follow-up.
- Administration & General
- Track and report project costs.
- Process invoices and reconcile with finance departments.
- Procure and coordinate owner-supplied items.
- Maintain accurate status reports and present updates in meetings.

Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in store design, construction management, or a related field.
- In-house store planning experience preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint.
- Expertise in construction materials, methods, timelines, costs, and budgets.
- Extensive knowledge of architecture, including reading architectural drawings.
- Understanding of building codes, permitting, ADA, energy, and compliance regulations.
- Ability to review, analyze, and negotiate bids and costs with architectural firms, general contractors, and construction management firms.
- Up to 30% travel required.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
- Availability to work a minimum of 4 days per week in the New York office.
Pay
Salary range: $130,000 to $150,000. Role is eligible for bonus.
