Sr Mgr, Solutions Architecture, AGS TMEGS Games

About the role

The Sr. Manager, Solutions Architecture at AGS TMEGS Games is responsible for partnering with customers, AWS Sales, and other AWS teams to design and implement highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. This role involves driving revenue growth by helping customers migrate applications, software, and services to the AWS platform, while also educating customers on the value of AWS and participating in deep architectural discussions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a leader for the SA team, and a key member of the business development team.
• Hire, enable, and develop an industry-leading team of solutions architects.
• Build deep relationships with customers to become a trusted advisor for their most critical workloads that support their digital transformation and journey to the cloud.
• Support achievement of revenue objectives through the adoption and migration of applications, software, and services onto the AWS platform, in partnership with the sales team.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
• Contribute to AWS internal and customer-facing publications such as white-papers and blogs as a means of scaling your knowledge.
• Act as a liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support to address customer needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of management of technical, enterprise customer facing resources or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
• 7+ years of in design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study or 12+ years of related work experience.
• Familiarity with low-latency, high-throughput workloads.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
• Experience in Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops), or experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience hiring, developing, and managing high-performing technical teams.
