We're seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead and drive Manufacturing Engineering and Manufacturing Test Engineering for Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing across Amazon Leo's satellite constellation. This role will be instrumental in building and scaling our PCBA manufacturing solution to support the production of thousands of satellites.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Manufacturing Test Engineers
- Implement and lead a comprehensive process to aggregate, provide, implement, and track Design for Manufacturing and Design for Test with the Design Engineering teams
- Measure and track production health metrics at our contract manufacturers
- Drive yield (both first pass and realized) improvements at our contract manufacturers for both manufacturing and test processes
- Report status to senior leadership in a clear and succinct manner
- Develop and implement best practices within the team while ingesting and replicating best practices from other teams
- Lead team to execute annual improvement plans
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of manufacturing, process, industrial engineering experience
- 10+ years of engineering team management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in engineering team management
- Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering
- Experience developing and testing mechanical robotics equipment
- Experience in system-level integration
- Experience with DFx (cost, test, manufacturing)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project, and software for technical document writing such as Visio, Word, or PowerPoint
- Experience in technical leadership of development, testing, and implementation of large-scale, complex technology projects
Pay
USA, WA, Bellevue - 179,700.00 - 243,100.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
