Sr Mgr Engineering Services
About the role
This position manages the delivery of short- and long-term technical solutions across engineering, operations, and staff growth/development. You will oversee one or more leaders with multiple scrum teams across multiple products within a product line, lead engineering delivery for an entire product line, and work strategically with IT Product Line Leaders to develop and manage engineering supporting the Product Roadmap. The role involves leading or contributing to multiple IT and Enterprise strategic initiatives of medium to high complexity. Resource pools include both full-time employees and on/offshore contingent labor, managed to support business financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering delivery for an entire product line, aligning with IT Product Line Leaders to develop and manage engineering supporting the Product Roadmap.
- Oversee one or more leaders with multiple scrum teams across multiple products within a product line.
- Lead or contribute to IT and Enterprise strategic initiatives of medium to high complexity.
- Manage resource pools, including full-time employees and on/offshore contingent labor, to meet business financial goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels in a matrixed organization.
- Prioritize multiple projects, needs, and goals in a rapidly changing, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Apply SDLC Methodology (Agile/Scrum/Iterative Development) from requirements through deployment.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking across engineering, organizational, and people dimensions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of Information Technology experience OR 11 years of Information Technology experience.
- 3 years of management or leadership experience, including leading software engineering projects.
- Experience managing engineering skill sets required by specific product/technology stacks across multiple teams.
- Experience with software engineering platforms and cloud computing/SaaS.
- Proficiency in analysis and modeling tools (e.g., Excel, Business Insights, JIRA, GitHub).
- Experience in resource planning and forecasting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to frame technical issues in business terms and explain business concepts to technical audiences.
- Ability to understand business products, operations, and underlying IT resource requirements.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Application Security: Strong understanding of common security vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
- Root Cause Analysis & Remediation: Experience performing and leading root cause analysis for security findings and incidents, driving remediation plans through closure, and validating effectiveness.
- DevSecOps & Security Tooling: Deep understanding of modern developer security tools, including integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines, partnering with engineering teams to improve security posture while minimizing delivery friction, and familiarity with AI-enhanced security tools for vulnerability detection, code review, threat analysis, and remediation recommendations.
- Security Incident Response: Experience leading or coordinating security incident response activities and developing incident response playbooks and operational procedures.
Pay
$102,000.00 - $184,300.00. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
