Sr Mental Health Counselor - Psychiatry Adult West Park

About the role

The MetroHealth System is seeking an independent clinician to provide mental health evaluations and treatments for patients in assigned areas, including outpatient clinics and potentially off-campus locations such as schools and jails.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic assessments, individual psychotherapy treatment, group therapy/counseling sessions, and crisis intervention services.
• Contributes to preparations for mental health and substance use care programs.
• Collaborates with Psychiatrists and other colleagues as needed.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other Behavioral Health-related field from an accredited institution.
• Currently licensed by the State of Ohio as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
• 2 years of post-master’s experience working with patients as a clinical Social Worker or Counselor.
• Experience with evidence-based behavioral health interventions.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Qualifications
